SOUTHPORT, Conn.–Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE-RGR) announces that it plans to open its third manufacturing plant, a 220,000 square foot facility in Mayodan, North Carolina. This will be the Company’s first major expansion in over 25 years and it is expected to be finalized in August.
The Company currently employs over 2,000 people in its two plants in Newport, New Hampshire and Prescott, Arizona.
The Michigan Natural Resources Commission (NRC) will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, July 11, at the MSU Diagnostic Center for Population and Animal Health, 4125 Beaumont Road, in Lansing.
Following public comments, the NRC will consider: •Renaming special deer hunts, as well as the qualifications of participants and hunt rules and the use of standing-vehicle permits for hunters with disabilities; •Establishing antlerless deer license quotas and early waterfowl-season regulations; and •Designating wolves as a game species and establishing regulations for a November 2013 limited wolf hunt, under the authority of Public Act 21 of 2013 (signed into law May 8).
