MGM Targets out of Caldwell, ID has just completed a very ambitious shoot house project for the Marines at Camp Pendleton, CA. This powerful two tiered training facility boasts multiple rooms, movable walls, walkways and a containment system unique to MGM.
Project manager for MGM on this site was Paul Harward who has been with MGM and in construction for over 30 years. “This shoot house had some very exciting challenges for us as we undertook it,” Paul stated. “It is two stories and cantilevered back into a hillside, it was a fun project to be involved with. When you add the special considerations and design features it was one of the nicest jobs I have had the privilege to work on.” Read more

PHOENIX – As part of a conservation program for the endangered Mount Graham red squirrel, the Arizona Game and Fish Department, U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service conducted an annual squirrel survey and estimated approximately 272 animals in the Pinaleño Mountains in southeastern Arizona.
This year’s survey shows an increase of 59 squirrels.

The United States has destroyed its six-ton stock of confiscated elephant ivory, sending a clear message that the nation will not tolerate wildlife crime that threatens to wipe out the African elephant and a host of other species around the globe. The destruction of this ivory, which took place at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Wildlife Property Repository on Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge near Denver, Colorado, was witnessed by representatives of African nations and other countries, dozens of leading conservationists and international media representatives. It is the latest in a series of actions by the Obama administration designed to crack down on international poaching and illegal wildlife trafficking. Read more
