Hand” With NSSF Pocket Card

NEWTOWN, Conn. — At some point, nearly every
hunter will be called on to point out the merits of hunting. Will you be up to

association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry,
can help you make your points with its newly updated Hunter’s Pocket Fact Card.

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. — In recent surveys conducted on HunterSurvey.com, ShooterSurvey.com and AnglerSurvey.com, responses revealed sportsman overwhelmingly take the time to introduce kids to the joys of hunting and fishing. Asked if in the past 12 months they had taken a child hunting or fishing, just over 45 percent of hunters said they had taken a son, daughter, nephew, niece or other young person hunting, while a whopping 61 percent of fishermen said they had taken a child fishing.

Legislative Update

Michigan Senate Bill 525 was approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee last week without amendment and is now before the full Senate.  The bill cleans up flaws in the language of the current law dealing with CPL renewals.

Specify that an application to renew a license to carry a concealed pistol could besubmitted not more than six months before the current license expired.

Provide that the effective date of an approved license renewal would be the date thecurrent license expired or the date the renewal was approved, whichever was later. Read more
