Trijicon Introduces New 1-10×28 Credo and Credo HX Riflescopes

Trijicon® is excited to introduce the new Credo® and Credo® HX 1-10×28 riflescopes, a Brilliant Aiming Solution designed for personal defense and tactical environments, competition shooting, and hunting alike. Engineered to perform at both CQB distance and more extended ranges, the 1-10×28 features a first focal plane design and a light, slim body style built to the durability standards Trijicon is known for.

The Segmented Circle Enhanced reticles utilized in the 1-10×28 models offer an illuminated segmented circle for close engagements at lower power, and a fine illuminated cross dot for more extended shots. There are also subtle wind holds within the reticle for more precise distant shots as needed. The reticles are based off the reticle in the U.S. Marine Corps Squad Common Optic (SCO) variant of the Trijicon VCOG.

The Credo 1-10×28 gives you fully multi-coated, broadband, anti-reflective glass, a 34mm tube and 28mm objective lens for excellent light transmission, true detail and color with zero distortion. The reticle features dual red/green user-selectable LED illumination with an “off” in between each setting for fast adjustment to any environment. Designed for speed and precision, the segment circle with cross dot reticle allows the shooter to quickly bracket targets and use up to 30 MRAD of windage and elevation holds without the need to dial. When dialing is preferred, the exposed elevation adjuster provides crisp, consistent clicks. Total elevation travel of 29 MRAD is available, and return to zero is precise and rock-solid on the exposed elevation turret. Read more

SAF Victory: Fed. Appeals Court Restores Block of CA CCW Law

BELLEVUE, WA – The Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has reversed an earlier order which put a hold on a lower court ruling that blocked California’s new law prohibiting concealed carry in most public places, handing a significant victory to gun rights groups including the Second Amendment Foundation.

The law had been blocked by U.S. District Court Judge Cormac J. Carney, who declared the statute “repugnant to the Second Amendment, and openly defiant of the Supreme Court.” The case is known as May v. Bonta.

“This is a major win for California gun owners and the Second Amendment,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “It is a definite wake-up call to anti-gun Gov. Gavin Newsom and his Democrat colleagues in the California legislature who pushed through the ‘sensitive places’ law as a way of thumbing their nose at the Supreme Court, as well as the Constitution.” Read more

Tisas USA Introduces Museum-Grade 1911A1 Replica

Knoxville, TN (January 9th, 2024)– Tisas USA, a division of SDS Imports, the internationally recognized firearms manufacturer that provides high quality firearms at unrivaled value is pleased to introduce a museum-grade replica of the M1911A1 as it was issued during the Second World War. Based on a 1943 Remington Rand, the Tisas Armed Services (AS) duplicates the original Type E hammer, correct arched mainspring housing, small window ejection port, and other features specific to the sub-contracted pistols of the day.

“Until now, no one has produced a true replica of the issue M1911A1,” stated SDS/Tisas USA CEO Tim Mulverhill. “Many companies have created ‘GI’ or similarly named models, but none of them were true representations of the original. We set out to create a version that would be hard to tell apart when holding an original in one hand and the Tisas in the other. Until you see the discreet manufacturer information under the dust cover, you can’t tell them apart other than wear and the cruder wartime machining marks of the originals. We even considered adding the flaming Ordnance Bomb proof mark, but there is a fine line between replica and counterfeit, and we felt that would be crossing it.”

The Armed Services features the correct United States Property roll marks, and ships with the correct brown plastic grips. A set of walnut, double diamond checkered grips are also included.

$2.1 Million Boosts Colorado Wildlife Research & Hunting Heritage Projects

MISSOULA, Mont. — From research focused on the cause of declining juvenile elk numbers to projects aimed at enhancing wildlife habitat and supporting hunting heritage, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and its conservation partners supplied $2,176,597 to Colorado. The grant funding benefits elk, mule deer, pronghorn antelope, black bears, mountain lions and many other wildlife species.

“The more verified, scientific information we can gather about elk and habitat usage, the better management decisions will be made for all wildlife going forward,” said Blake Henning, RMEF chief conservation officer. “This funding bolsters five research efforts, helps improve wildlife habitat and both defends and supports hunting.”

The 23 different projects received $491,808 in RMEF funding that helped leverage $1,684,789 in partner dollars. Read more
