Global Big Day is this Saturday!

Join the worldwide team of birders by participating in the Global Big Day this Saturday, May 14th (Multicolored Tanager photo by Luis Enrique Bueno).

You are invited to join birders from around the world to participate in the Global Big Day this Saturday, May 14th. This exciting annual event unites birders from around the world to report all the birds they see at their favorite birding hotspots, including their yards. Wherever you are, whether you have some hours for birding, or just 15 minutes to participate, you can join the global team Saturday to help biologists study the bird populations on each continent during mid-May. During last year’s event, birders set 4 World Records for a single day of birding!

A year ago during the Global Big Day, more than 51,816 birders from 192 countries found 7,234 different species of birds! Birders count all birds they see of each species they find. It’s easy, it’s fun, and it’s a great way for you to be a part of the biggest day in birding – the Global Big Day! You can include photos you take, and appreciate that this information provides biologists with a wealth of information about birds worldwide during a peak period of spring migration.

It’s always interesting to check in to the Global Big Day webpage periodically over the weekend to see how the action is progressing – you never know what exciting birds you may get introduced to at Global Big Day—14 May 2022 – eBird

SnapSafe In-Wall Safes

Grand Island, NE – SnapSafe® In-Wall Safes install securely between wall studs safeguarding valuables out-of-sight. In-Wall Safes are available in two sizes – a 22-inch and a 44-inch-tall version – depending on individual storage needs. SnapSafe makes peace of mind made easy with its new In-Wall Safes.

The In-Wall Safe mounts flush against the wall allowing concealment behind pictures, furniture or other household objects without detection. If discovered, its 16-gauge steel body and extra-thick 8-gauge door thwart unauthorized access. An innovative latch mechanism maximizes usable interior space while hidden hinges impede prying and cutting attacks on the container. Thanks to its innovative design, it fits perfectly between wall studs that use the industry-standard 16-inch on-center spacing; the pre-drilled safe then lags tight to the framing using the included bolts. SnapSafe In-Wall Safes are easy to install in minutes, and the design allows orienting the door for either a left- or right-hand opening.

A battery-powered electronic keypad provides quick entry to the In-Wall Safe. After entering the access code, its spring-assist door opens and reveals the safe’s contents. The lock has audio and LED warnings when the battery levels are running low. And just in case, SnapSafe includes a barrel key backup. Read more

TactaLoad FLASH-5

I find it hard to imagine a more useful gun than the venerable pump action shotgun. It’s essentially the Swiss Army knife of the gun world. A shotgun can be used on game animals from small to ferocious, while still defending your castle. Malfunctions on a pump action shotgun are rare-even when dirty. A pump action shotgun’s only Achilles heel is its lack of capacity for ammunition. While there have been recent advancements in magazine fed pump action shotguns, the traditional pump action shotgun is still far and away the most popular shotgun in history with estimates of over 21 million sold. So, how do you improve on that sort of reliable popularity? You increase your pump action shotguns capacity for ammunition. Now, there are numerous products on the market that can help add extra ammunition to a pump action shotgun. A shooter can either increase the shotguns internal capacity with magazine tube extensions or can add external products that feed the user such as side saddles.

That’s where TactaLoad Flash-5 stock comes into the picture. www.TactaLoad.com

TactaLoad is an exciting new American company created to provide quality aftermarket accessories that are worthy of our customers trust and confidence.

Our flagship product, the FLASH-5 gunstock, is a revolutionary new product unlike anything the firearm industry has ever seen and is designed to fit the Remington and Mossberg line of 12 Gauge pump action shotguns. Our unique, patented design incorporates an internal magazine that offers the shooter instant access to ammunition. Not only does the FLASH 5 protect ammunition from the elements and the risk of damage, but its ergonomic ingenuity- also proves to be the fastest option when reloading. Its rugged construction is built to hold up under the harshest environments and most demanding situations.

The TactaLoad FLASH 5 gunstock is Made in America and was designed with the shooter in mind to address this all-too-common problem- of limited ammunition capacity in the most convenient location, and the ability to reload fast. The FLASH-5 is ambidextrous and can hold all three sizes of 12 Gauge ammunition (2 ¾”, 3” and 3 ½“). Read more

U.S. LawShield Asks “Does That State Recognize Your Permit?”

Houston, Texas–May 9, 2022–U.S. LawShield®, industry leader and America’s largest provider of Legal Defense for Self Defense® coverage, presents the National Travel Guide for Gun Owners and state-specific Travel Guides for Gun Owners. The guides feature practical information for people traveling through nearly every state in the U.S.

According to Kirk Evans, President of U.S. LawShield, “Don’t wait until after the fact to plan for your guns when preparing for your trip. Because there are so many details for people to understand before they leave home, we developed state-specific guides to help folks stay on the right side of the law.”

As responsible firearms owners, people have questions about taking their guns with them when traveling. “Unfortunately, not every state has a common-sense attitude when it comes to gun laws, and you want to make sure that a criminal conviction isn’t one of the souvenirs you bring home,” stated Evans. “Take the time to learn the laws before hitting the road because they are not the same everywhere.” Read more
