SAF Invites Attendees to “Join Us Online” for Virtual 2021 GRPC

BELLEVUE, WA – The Second Amendment Foundation invites run rights activists across the country to participate in the 36th annual Gun Rights Policy Conference, which, due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, will once again be a virtual event held online Sept. 25 and 26, hosted by the Second Amendment Foundation and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Saving Freedom!” The event will appear on multiple platforms, including YouTube and Facebook.

Last year’s virtual conference had more than 6,500 pre-registered “attendees,” and SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb anticipates equally big participation. This year’s presentations will include a discussion about how COVID impacted Second Amendment supporters, plus a look at the situation in Illinois with FOID licenses. And, of course, there will an in-depth discussion of the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association case that will be argued before the U.S. Supreme Court in November. Read more

Dorsey Exposes Animal Rights Groups in Forbes

Excerpt from Chris Dorsey’s latest column

Perhaps you’ve seen the late-night appeals on cable channels from animal rights groups—the public service announcements of a starving dog or cat that will have a better life if you only send $25…immediately? You look down at Rover, resting comfortably on his padded dog bed next to the fire and think wouldn’t it be nice if every dog could have such a life. You’re only a phone call and a credit card away from making the world a happier place and feeling better about yourself at the same time.

That’s a common tug-at-the-heart-strings formula employed by groups like the Humane Society of the United States and others. Most of the people who see their fundraising pitches assume that these are the sweet people who once looked after Rover for a couple of days when he found love down the street and ran off before someone collared him and dropped him off at the local shelter. Who doesn’t want to pay such kindness forward? And therein lies the bait and switch that is the hallmark of the animal rights industry. It’s a formula HSUS has used to become the wealthiest animal rights organization in the world—annual revenues now of roughly $130 million.

Walker’s ATACS Sport Earbuds

Walker’s®, the leader in hearing protection and enhancement, announces the release of the company’s most ergonomic electronic sound management system yet for shooters and hunters. ATACS Sport Earbuds delivers the state-of-the-art performance serious shooters demand in a platform designed to excel in all-day comfort and operational convenience.

Increasingly, professional shooters, recreational shooters, and hunters are favoring the comfort and digital control of earbud-style sound management systems to protect their hearing and to amplify and discern ambient sound. While earbuds perform these tasks admirably, fitment and security can vary between shooters—especially during high-activity, high-mobility scenarios such as competition shooting and hunting.

The all-new ATACS Sport Earbuds address these challenges by incorporating a dual retention system into a sophisticated and ergonomic platform. Since shooters come in all shapes and sizes, the Walker’s engineers set out to develop an earbud system that would work for everyone. They did this by incorporating soft and flexible ear hooks and a behind-the-neck retention strap into a freshly designed earbud chassis. This unitized retention system, combined with multi-sized foam ear tips, means the ATACS Sport Earbuds are comfortable to wear under any condition and will remain in place even during high mobility activities.
