Army Chooses Leupold’s Mark 5HD 3.6-18×44 Riflescope Chosen for M110 Rifle

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Leupold & Stevens, Inc., provider of the world’s most rugged, lightweight, and clear riflescopes and reflex sights, is pleased to announce that its award-winning Mark 5HD riflescope has been selected for use with the United States Army’s M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System. Like all of Leupold’s riflescopes, the Mark 5HD is designed, machined, and assembled in the company’s Beaverton, Ore. factory.

The Mark 5HD that’s being built for the M110 will come in a proprietary flat dark earth coating and utilize the Army’s patented Mil-Grid Reticle. It will include a Leupold Mark IMS mount. The 3.6-18 is the second Mark 5HD model to be selected for use by the U.S. Army this year. The 5-25×56, featuring the same FDE coating and reticle, was selected by the Army Precision Sniper Rifle Program last month.

“The men and women of the U.S. armed forces require and deserve the very best, and when it comes to riflescopes, that’s the Mark 5HD,” said Bruce Pettet, President and Chief Executive Officer for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “Our optics face strenuous durability testing, and fully meet the extremely high performance standards that the military demands.”

The Mark 5HD has been crafted to redefine accuracy, precision, and optical performance for long-range shooters. Three models – a 7-35×56, 5-25×56, and 3.6-18×44 – are available in both milliradian and MOA configurations. Pick one up and you’ll feel the difference: it’s up to 20 ounces lighter than other scopes in its class. Get behind one and you’ll see the difference, from its superior edge-to-edge clarity to its extreme low-light performance. With three revolutions of elevation adjustment, the Mark 5HD was made to max out the performance of the latest long-range rifles and ammunition. Read more

WCP320 Semi-Auto Pistol

Berryville, Arkansas —Introducing The Wilson Combat-SIG SAUER WCP320 Semi-Automatic Pistol

Wilson Combat and SIG SAUER are pleased to announce the availability of a Wilson Combat enhanced P320 9mm semi-automatic pistol collaboration, the WCP320.

Wilson Combat gunsmiths and engineers have completely reworked a SIG SAUER P320 chassis and unfinished SIG manufactured slide into our ideal version of a high performance, perfected striker-fired pistol.

Using the all-new Wilson Combat SIG P320 grip module, our in-house re-machined slide and Wilson Combat performance battle sights, the Wilson Combat Optimized WCP320 will become the new standard in hard-use, striker-fired handguns. Our modifications have tailored and tuned the 320 platform for precision tactical pistol shooting.

This robust, fast handling pistol wears our Wilson Combat engineered polymer grip module. This newly designed and manufactured grip has enhanced traction, smoother reloading, improved pointablity and superb recoil control in dynamic shooting. This grip turns an already solid platform into an ergonomic shooting machine.

The slide has been machined with the Wilson Combat X-TAC pattern for improved manipulation under stress. The front and rear cocking serrations, as well as the slide top, wear this signature Wilson Combat pattern. The stainless steel slide and chromoly barrel wear the most advanced black DLC (Diamond-like-Carbon) physical vapor deposition finish available. This finish has chromium and tungsten underlayers for long lasting corrosion and abrasion resistance.

The SIG SAUER flat-faced XFULL trigger is standard on the WCP320 and gives shooters a lower finger position on the trigger which increases leverage for a lighter, smoother trigger pull. The pull can be further enhanced by Wilson Combat gunsmiths with our optional action tune using Grayguns custom trigger parts.

SAF Joins Lawsuit Against Massachusetts Governor

BELLEVUE, WA – The Second Amendment Foundation today joined several partners in a federal lawsuit against Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker and two other Massachusetts officials, challenging their acts of eliminating all lawful channels of access to constitutionally protected arms and ammunition during the coronavirus emergency.

Partners in this action included the Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC), Commonwealth Second Amendment, Inc. (Comm2A), the Massachusetts Gun Owners Action League (GOAL), plus retailers and private citizens. The case is known as McCarthy v. Baker. Attorneys in this case are J. Steven Foley of Worcester, Jason A. Guida of Saugus and David Jensen of Beacon, N.Y.

“Closing gun stores and preventing citizens from exercising their Second Amendment rights is not the way to fight a viral pandemic,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “How ironic that rights groups must take the governor of Massachusetts to court over a Second Amendment issue as the 245th anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord approaches. Government gun control is precisely the reason our ancestors stood together on April 19, 1775, and the Baker administration should seriously re-think its position.” Read more

Rights Groups Sue New Mexico Governor

BELLEVUE, WA – The Second Amendment Foundation, National Rifle Association and Firearms Policy Coalition today filed a federal lawsuit against New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, challenging her order mandating the closure of lawful retail firearms businesses during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Joining SAF, NRA and FPC are the New Mexico Shooting Sports Association, two businesses and three private citizens. They are represented by attorneys Patrick J. Rogers, Albuquerque; Cody J. Wisniewski, Lakewood, Colo.; Adam Kraut, Sacramento, Calif., and Michael T. Jean, Fairfax, Va. The complaint was filed in U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico and is known as Aragon v. Grisham.

In addition to Gov. Grisham, also named as a defendant is Kathyleen Kunkel, secretary for the New Mexico Department of Health, both in their official capacities. The Department of Health is also a defendant.

The lawsuit “challenges Defendants’ mandatory shuttering of lawful retail firearms businesses.”

“By arbitrarily, capriciously—and unconstitutionally—targeting those who lawfully sell firearms and ammunition, New Mexico is depriving citizens of their natural and fundamental right to keep and bear arms,” the complaint alleges. Read more

Hawke Optics Professional Steel Scope Rings

The Hawke Professional Steel Scope Rings are machined from high-grade steel. They have a two-screw clamp for even pressure. Inside the ring, Hawke adds cushion tape to add pressure to the scope to secure it, without damaging the outside of the scope. This gives you reliable accuracy from the scope as you know it isn’t going to shift in the rings. The Rings are available in 1-inch and 30mm sizes. Both sizes are available in low, medium, high and extra-high sizes, so you can match the right height to your scope and mount it exactly how you want it.

The new Hawke Optics Professional Steel Scope Rings use a standard Weaver-style mount. They have a reversible Weaver bar to give you added versatility to the way you mount them to your rifle. Hawke supplies you with both, a quick release lever and hex nut to lock the rings to the rifle. When accuracy counts, go with Hawke Optics – Vision Accomplished.
