Salt Lake City, UTAH – The Mule Deer Foundation (MDF) recently pledged $50,000 to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department’s Platte Valley Habitat Partnership (PVHP).
The PVHP was formed to establish partnerships and work collaboratively to improve habitat for mule deer and other wildlife in the area, as well as to address declining numbers of mule deer in the Platte Valley. Read more

On July 2nd, animal rights groups launched a petition drive to stop the state from controlling the growing wolf population. If enough signatures are gathered, Michigan voters will decide on November 4, 2014, whether to overturn Senate Bill 288, which granted authority to designate game species to the state Natural Resources Commission. The anti-hunting coalition, called Keep Michigan Wolves Protected, is backed by the nation’s most powerful animal rights organization, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Read more
The Humane Society of the United States has come under fire for getting a “D” grade from the charity watchdog American Institute of Philanthropy. AIP finds that HSUS spends up to 50 percent of its budget on overhead and spends up to 48 cents to raise every dollar.
