Destination Whitetail Goes Hunting “Yooper” Style in Third Episode

Cincinnati, Ohio – In the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, a weekend at a hunting camp is more than a weekend away – it’s a rite of passage. On this week’s episode of Destination Whitetail, the cameras head to “Yooper” country to experience the ultimate deer camp.
Nestled between four bodies of water, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan region is home to a range of wildlife and just 3 percent of the state’s total population, affectionately known as “Yoopers” (from UP-ers). Brownells Donates to Iowa Valley Community College Gunsmithing Program

Brownells – The World’s Largest Supplier of Firearms Accessories, Ammunition and Gunsmithing Tools™ – is proud to announce its support of the newly created Iowa Valley Community College’s Gunsmithing Technology program, located in Grinnell, Iowa.
On Tuesday, July 9, 2013, Brownells’ CEO Pete Brownell (right) presented a check for $75,000 to MaryAnne Nickle, (left) Dean of Iowa Valley Grinnell, and Gunsmithing Instructor Dave Bennetts, (center) a former Brownells Gun Tech. Antis in Michigan Pushing Second Referendum on Wolves

On July 2nd, animal rights groups launched a petition drive to stop the state from controlling the growing wolf population.  If enough signatures are gathered, Michigan voters will decide on November 4, 2014, whether to overturn Senate Bill 288, which granted authority to designate game species to the state Natural Resources Commission.  The anti-hunting coalition, called Keep Michigan Wolves Protected, is backed by the nation’s most powerful animal rights organization, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).
