CVA Releases New Endura Series of Muzzleloaders

CVA announces their new Endura series of muzzleloaders. The most advanced muzzleloader series CVA has ever built.

The CVA Endura series is the next generation of muzzleloading performance, purpose-built for hunters who demand long-range accuracy, modern design, and versatility in the field. Both the Endura LRH and Endura Pro are CVA’s first muzzleloaders rated for use with either Blackhorn 209 or specifically recommended modern smokeless rifle powders.

The Endura series is packed with features like a Tungsten-lined breech plug – The Endura uses higher charges than standard muzzleloaders. The Endura is outfitted with a tungsten-lined breech plug, because of the additional pressures and higher burn rates. The Endura muzzleloaders are outfitted with a magnetic bolt face (patent pending) which has 5 magnets to help retain the Variflame™ adapters, both before and after firing. The Variflame can either be placed on the bolt face or directly on the breech plug. The Endura has a large ejection port that is specifically designed for enough room to place the Variflame directly on the breech plug or bolt face. Also, it is large enough to remove the Variflame with or without a magnetic extractor tool. The Endura’s Bergara Barrel is a Blackhorn 209 or smokeless capable barrel and is designed for use with either the recommended Blackhorn 209 loads or the recommended loads of specific modern smokeless rifle powders. This barrel is fluted for weight reduction and threaded (to easily attach CVA’s SP Muzzle Brake which is sold separately).

Some of the other key features include long-range stocks. Read more

Kovix Launches $200 Tax Stamp Promotion

Kovix, a premium manufacturer of titanium suppressors, is proud to announce the company’s tax-stamp rebate program. In response to congress’ passing of an amended Big Beautiful Bill, incorporating the reduction of the NFA tax stamp to $0, Kovix now offers a $200 rebate in the form of a Kovix Gift Card.

While the tax-stamp component of the bill is considered a win by most shooting enthusiasts, it also had drawbacks, most importantly for purchase, the effective date. With the $200 tax stamp reducing to $0 on January 1, consumers are considering whether they should wait until the new year to make a purchase. Kovix’s solution is simple – “We’ve got that covered.”

“Everybody wanted to see suppressors removed from the NFA as the bill was originally written. So rather than a total victory, we see the amended Bill as a good place to start for future reform. In the meantime, we know that spending $200 on a tax stamp is easier when it’s somebody else’s money,” stated Rex Ribelin. “Customers are getting that $200 back, on us, in the form of a gift card for their next Kovix purchase.” Read more

Top 10 Preseason Checks for Web-Footed Quarry on the Water and Over the Fields

Early Canada goose and teal seasons are imminent (a few states have already opened resident only Canada goose seasons), so it’s time to check your waterfowl hunting kit – shotguns, boats, decoys, and blind bags, if you haven’t already. Following are ten go-time tips for hunters who are giddy for the most wonderful time of year.

ONE: Clean that filthy gun. Okay, okay, some hunters are good about gun maintenance, and the irons are tended to and spick and span right after the hunt – possibly stored much like a valuable archeological relic. Then there are the rest of us. Tear them down and get them ready for game day. This includes checking for magazine plugs and making sure said shotgun has the appropriate choke tube installed (remember you threw it in the corner of the closet the day after turkey season…).

Bonus Tip: Do. Not. Over-lubricate. Read more
