Ruger Suspends New Gun Orders

The gun grabbers at the Brady Campaign have downplayed and even attempted to distort just how many guns are being sold in the past few years.  In fact, things are so bad, Ruger must suspend new orders – not because business is bad; it’s simply too good!

HSUS Files Another Lawsuit

Oregon, Washington and California have delayed startup of a plan to kill sea lions in an effort to allow chinook salmon to spawn but HSUS filed suit.  The result?  A temporary restraining order.  Details here…

Update:

Oregon state authorities can resume killing California sea lions that feast on endangered salmon bottled up at a dam on the Columbia River, but less than one-third as many as federal biologists previously had authorized, a judge ruled Thursday.

U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg in Washington, D.C., denied the Humane Society of the United States’ request to stop the killing at the Bonneville Dam while a lawsuit challenging the program goes forward. However, he limited the killing to 30 animals per year rather than the 92 authorized by federal authorities, and ordered that none of them may be shot.

Keep Your Finger Off the Trigger

The rule is “Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.” During the act of placing a handgun in a holster the muzzle is, by definition, off of the target. It’s essential to keep the trigger guard clear as the pistol is placed into the holster.

The picture depicts a polymer holster into which a gunshot was fired. The expended round shown in the picture is nicely expanded. It was found on the ground near the shooter who holstered the autopistol with finger on the trigger. It clearly passed through the shooter’s leg before coming to rest on the ground.

Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
