California Game Commissioner to Keep Position – For Now
It now appears that California Game Commission president Richards may not be ousted from the commission over a recent hunting controversy said Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg. While he hasn’t “closed all doors completely,” he has no plans to bring up a vote. But, the politicians are attempting to take some of his authority away with a recent vote. Utah Looks to Up the Ante on Coyote Bounties
The Utah Senate voted 23-5 to pass SB25 to increase bounties on coyotes to $50 each, up from about $20 in most counties.
If the bill is also passed by the House, it is hoped it will encourage hunters to kill 20,000 or more of the animals. Of course, the Humane Society of Utah opposes the plan here…
MDF Applauds Gov. Mead for Wyoming Wolf Plan
