The Michigan Attorney General’s Office has announced that it had reached reciprocity agreements with 39 states, meaning that every other state that has a concealed carry law will accept a Michigan CPL permit. In addition, Michigan will accept the permits from each of the other 39 states.

An interesting case is moving forward which challenges the U.S. Postal Service’s authority to ban guns in post offices.
Hmmm, and where did that term “going postal” originate? If ever a law-abiding citizen may need protection, it’s on or near the post office.

How prophetic is the above? Find out here… For whatever reasons, this current episode of postal shootings is nothing new. Neither is government’s role in perpetuating the myth that gun-free zones make any sense whatsoever.
A fellow writer, Herb Boldt, with whom I had shared print space in The Argus-Press, has died at the age of 84. Herb wrote a weekly column called “Woods and Water”. He retired in 2005 and once commented that he had the greatest job in the world.
I agree, Herb. In fact, it never seems to be a job at all. Some of Herb’s work is below.
